Description
From Japanese garden machinery veterans, Maruyama, this versatile petrol chainsaw offers a superior power to weight ratio, and excels when it comes to all the classic woodcutting tasks, from lopping, limbing and pruning, through to construction applications, firewood production and smaller-scale felling.
Powering it is a remarkably efficient air-cooled two-stroke engine that develops a substantial 1.68hp from a relatively small 34.9cc cylinder capacity, and which employs the long established manufacturer’s reverse-recoil technology for fast, low-effort pull starts.
Weighing-in at only 4.2kg and combining design optimised ergonomics with Maruyama’s innovative hybrid anti-vibration system, the Maruyama MCV3101S Petrol Chainsaw will remain comfortable and easy to control and manoeuvre, no matter how long the job takes.
It boasts automatic chain lubrication for reduced wear and a smooth, clean cut; and it features a handy side-access tensioner for super-simple tightening of the chain.
Also important on this model is its safety maximising chain brake, which brings the chain to an immediate halt at the first sign of inertia.
