Why is Dethatching Important?

Over time, moss and laterally growing rhizomes – known as ‘thatch’ – can build-up on a lawn surface, strangling it, depriving it of light and causing discolouration and patchiness.

The most effective way to deal with the problem is by removing any accumulation with a lawn rake – this done, the turf will be able to breath and thrive, and you’ll eventually achieve the sort of pristine lawn that’s so redolent of the British garden.
