The MTD GCS3800/35 Petrol Chainsaw is a great all-rounder that’s suitable for a variety of tasks around the yard and garden, including DIY, limbing, firewood preparation and small-scale felling.
It features automatic chain oiling, which works to keep the quality 35cm Oregon-brand bar and chain in tip-top condition over time; and it employs an inertia-activated chain brake, which protects against accidental injury by ensuring the chain is brought to an immediate halt should a tooth catch on a knotty bit of wood.
Designed to remain comfortable and easy to control for the duration of lengthy woodcutting jobs, the MTD GCS3800/35 has an anti-vibration handle and weighs only 4.2kg.
A 0.31-litre fuel tank will see you get through plenty of work between refuelling-stops; a rear hand-guard protects the operator in the unlikely event the chain comes off its rail.
Also featured is a lateral chain tensioner, which ensures it’s quick and simple to make performance-boosting adjustments while you work.
