Single-sided hedgetrimmers like the Echo HCS-2810ES are preferred by pro topiarists, as single-sided blades are much lighter than double-sided ones. This allows for increased blade length - and therefore a faster work rate - while keeping machine weight to a minimum.
The Echo HCS-2810ES driven by a high-performance 21.2cc two-stroke engine, which employs Echo’s Easy Start ignition-system for almost effort-free pull-starts. The engine is isolated from the handle for low-vibration operation, and is equipped with dual piston rings and caged needle bearings for an impressively lengthy service life.
The Echo HCS-2810ES benefits from a computer optimised centre of gravity, which ensures it can be manoeuvred through a multitude of angles in a comfortable, controlled manner.
A capacious 0.39-litre fuel tank works to reduce downtime by minimising the frequency of refuelling stops; a forward-positioned exhaust ensures the plant won't be subject to scorching.
