How long should a chainsaw last?
Obviously this is a bit of a ‘How long is a piece of string?’ question and it’s hard to give a straight answer. Even so-called ‘standard’ usage can vary in terms of intensity, environment and so on.
Warranties tend to vary from 1 year to 5 but there is no reason why a well-maintained chainsaw should not outlast its warranty by many years.
In fact, experts estimate that a good quality chainsaw, well maintained and regularly serviced and looked after, from a reputable manufacturer should give, possibly, up to ten years service.
